The game is based on this same hardware but now I wanted to make the cart of bamboo. This year I relesed a new game at eJagfest in Germany. Actually the nice people at pcbway also soldered the chips on the board for a decent cost. But for the large community of retro enthusiasts I also created a small run of real Lynx carts based on this pcbway design. It was released for free to be run on emulators and developers carts. Last year I released an interactive novel called "Always winter, never Christmas". It is fairly easy to 3D print covers for the cart. The current pcb is 0.8mm and not 0.6mm anymore. The chip on this cart is a 512k flash memory SST39SF040-70-4C-WHE and the eeprom I have been using for saving hi-scores is 93C46C-I/ST. The game cart needs to be 57mm wide and 2.5mm thick, This design is a game cart with a 512k flash and an optional read/write eeprom from 128 bytes to 64k. Atari Lynx is a handheld colour console released in 1989.
